Things that Make Me Happy | 1 to 10

I'm not going to take credit for this amazing idea that I found :) I was looking for inspiration on what to post about a while back when I came across 'Floral and Freckled' a blog that started early 2013 by a 20 year old called Gerry.  I love reading her blog, and her layout is the cutest.  I found that she'd posted about things that make her happy in a series, with 10 things each time.  So I've stolen her idea, and done exactly that.. I hope you enjoy :)

One Having a long, relaxing bath then getting into clean sheets in your tidy bedroom.

Two Those rare times where I'll come home after a long day look in the mirror and think 'Wow, I didn't look that bad today'!

Three Finding a good tv show or film and really getting into it.

Four I always get excited when I go to the shop til with items, and the cashier says 'Those 2 items are one the 3 for 2 promotion.. you can get a free one'.  The joys.

Five When my phone dies, and I am on the verge of tears.. and then I see a plug socket nearby and my phone charger is in my bag... happy, happy days.

Six Sitting down with Vogue on a Sunday morning.

Seven Coming back after going shopping to all my bags, and unpacking them.

Eight Finding a really good instagram, and going through all the photos.

Nine Evenings in summer.

Ten Good skin days, waking up to a face that's not full of spots.

I hope you've enjoyed this different type of blog post... let me know if you want more like it :)

Lush Boxing Day Loot!

For those of you that are smart enough to have noticed, it's been nearly 3 weeks since Boxing Day, and my Lush order only came a few days ago. I understand I'm not the only one that's had this problem, as they apparently had over 10,000 orders on Boxing Day alone.  But, 3 weeks did seem way too long, since all they had to do was put a few bath bombs in a box and send it off, and I did order a lot since my sister tapped on to my order aswell (her stuff isn't included). Rant over. So I hope you enjoy my first haul on my blog!

I decided to pick up a gift set because everything was 50% off, so I knew it'd be a good deal. I got the 'Star of Wonder' set, which contained: Shoot For The Stars, Candy Mountain, Snow Fairy Shower Gel, Snow Fairy Melt, Star  Light Star Bright (I think) & Sparkler. This was like £12, and for the amount of stuff you get,  I was pretty dayum pleased.

Then I decided to pick up a So White, because they're literally my favourite, and you can only get them at christmas, but they just smell so refreshing! I also got a Fluffy Skies Bubble Bar, because even though you can get them all year round, it was half price, and I'd never used it before.  I also got Golden Wonder because the colours are so pretty, dashing santa & the penguin bubble bar.

Overall, I was so pleased with what I picked up from Lush because I got so much for what I spent.  Lush only do sales in January, so I jumped at the opportunity, since I completely forgot last year. Let me know if you want any of the products reviewed in more detail... I have already used Sparkler though... I couldn't wait!

Thanks for reading, byee!

Clothes Show 2014 Haul

The Clothes Show 2014, was held in Birmingham on the 8th of December, and I was lucky enough to attend. For those of you who don't know, the clothes show is a brilliant shopping opportunity, with a fashion show to follow.  This is one of the biggest fashion events of the year in the UK, which lasts 5-6 days every December. The clothes show attracts many famous faces to promote their products, or to do meet ups. This year, I was privileged, and I met Amy Childs.. also, Jamie Laing and Andy Jordan from Made in Chelsea, Charlotte Crosby from Geordie Shore, and Tom Pearce from The Only Way Is Essex, and many of my friends met Mazzi Maz, the youtuber. But there were others ther The Clothes Show is in the NEC, and the huge hall is used for shopping. You can pick up many fashion and beauty products, at a cut price.  Brands such as Rimmel, Lee Stafford, Barry M, Models Own, W7 etc. where all there to promote their brands.

Today, I decided to share my purchases with you, nearly a month on from the event. I picked things up from Lee Stafford & Models Own.

Lee Stafford gave you a 'bag of their products', which I was quite disappointed with as I expected more Lee Stafford products in the bag. The bag basically consisted of 3 Lee Stafford products, 3 glitter sprays and a load of crap, basically. I got given glitter tattoos, and all sorts, which I definitely didn't want... I wanted hair products.

The three full size Lee Stafford products I received where:

Double Blow Mousse - £5.99
Climate Control Hairspray - £5.99
Lightning Spray - £7.99

The bag cost me £15, and the Lee Stafford products I received were worth around about £20

Samples of Lee Stafford Argan Oil Shampoo, Conditioner & Miracle Oil. Also comb.

Colour Xtreme Hair Art Spray - £2.99 each (Gold, White & Green)

Glitter  Tattoos, Glitter Stencils & Temporary Tattoos
The other counter I went to was Models Own. And how the Models Own counter worked, was that you chose 3 nail polishes which were worth £5 each, and you received a gift bag full of Models Own products for £10, and it was supposedly worth £65. The 3 Nail Polishes I chose were: Pink Fuzz (a rose gold glitter), 5 in 1 (a topcoat, basscoat, clear polish) & Liquorice Allsorts (A black scented polish).

And to be fair to Models Own, the gift bag was full of their products, including a Closer magazine, which was probably about £2 in itself. If you bought the nail polishes outside of the Clothes Show, they would be £15, so you'd already got your money back with them.

Products I received from Models Own:

Tube Lipgloss
Bubblegum Lip Balm
Eyelash Curler
Mmakeup Sponges
Black Kohl Eyeliner Pencil
Black Chunky Kohl Eyeliner Pencil
Eyeshadow Duo
3 Way Nail Buffer
Makeup Applicators

I was really pleased with the Clothes Show overall, although they could've thrown in a few freebies!! The fashion show afterwards was amazing, it really caught your attention, and you could tell a lot of effort had been put into it! The outfits were crazy, but some of the models were dancers and they really put on a show. So, well done to them. I had an amazing day and the products were really good value for money.

I hope you enjoyed this haul, it's been very detailed! Remember, if you want any of the products reviewed in full, let me know in the comments. Also, if you feel the picture quality was bad, let me know because I used a different editing software, and I'm not sure I like it, what do you think??  Thanks for reading! Bye!

Sunday 28 December 2014

Well hey!

Hello everyone, welcome to my blog!

A blog has been something I've wanted to start up for a very long time, which I have done a few times through blogger, but have never been happy with the format.  I love to unleash my creativity through writing, rather than a more artistic way, so a blog seemed perfect.  I will be sharing my most recent beauty purchases (I'm a huge spender, saving is boring!) and also more lifestyle broadly based around anything and everything.  From, what I'm doing, to what I'm loving. I was inspired at first by Zoella to create a blog, after discovering her youtube channel in 2011.  And yes, it has taken me 4 years to do something about it?! I am really excited to finally 'get the ball rolling', if you will and I am looking forward to taking you on my journey, wherever that may be...

I hope you like it!
